( votes)The love we show ourselves must equally reach people around us,
Selfishness sets in when all we think about is us,
Living as though we have no morals and conscience,
Spreading negativity infecting the hearts and minds of the innocent,
Distracting the good works of the noble not thinking of the results of their actions,
Since the time of old, our fathers always tried to stop terrorism,
Which only was and is fueled up by hate, resentment, and anger.
People also read: WHO COULD SHE BE?
Shootings on our streets, people killing, and people dying,
I keep asking myself, “where on earth did our conscience go?”
Anytime I look up, I see the dark clouds with tears in their eyes,
I look down, and I see the sorrows and despair of the vulnerable.
Hearts filled with jealousy and envy of the things others have,
And minds with greed making us move in the direction of destruction.
With everybody hating somebody, and yet we condemn racism,
We fight each other as though we have been mesmerized,
Pointing fingers at people who portrayed their evil nature
Forgetting our own malicious lives hidden in the dark,
Until they come to light, we would forever be secret angels of destruction.
“Where on earth is the love our fathers preached of old?”
Our land hurts while people cry for want of freedom.
To whom does vengeance belong or to who are the keys to peace?
Now nothing makes sense until our hearts touch other hearts,
Until we spread more love and truth, never hostility and deceit,
Until we heed the call to unity, to do more forgiving and forgetting,
And the greatest gift of all times that is peace shall be ours to take the weights off our shoulders,
And to lead us to a brighter day spreading good vibes.
