When I look up at the sky,
The sky was clear and warm,
The sun shone bright and high,
I let out a smile and closed my eyes,
The stars twinkled like diamonds in the night,
A gentle breeze blew, a soft delight,
The world was at peace, free from fright,
I felt my heart soar, my spirit take flight,
The beauty of the sky, a wondrous sight,
I let out a sigh, a contented breath,
And whispered “goodbye, I’ll see you on the other side.”
The man was shocked, a look of awe,
As I vanished into the sky’s embrace,
He watched as I rose up to the clouds,
And disappeared into the infinite space.
But I’ll be back, to gaze upon the sky,
To feel the warmth of the sun on my face,
To let out a smile, and close my eyes,
And whisper “goodbye, I’ll see you on the other side.”
