Nothing our might and strength can do but to do Your work,
To increase and prosper the well-being of mankind.
Lead us forth in Your strength and guide us by Christ our true light,
Engrave Thou Thy word of truth in every living soul throughout the world.
Set us free from our sinful nature and all the imprecations of our wrong deeds,
Fight Thou our fight with sorrow, grief, and pain,
Draw us nigh to Thee and let the workers of destruction come to a perpetual end.
Cause us to know You, surrender to You, put our trust in You, and to seek Your face,
Have mercy on us O Lord, consider our complaint and be of great help to uplift our souls from trouble.
Put our enemies to fear O Thou universal of three in one and make them know,
You know whereof they were made and that You are Lord of them all.
Guide and guard us Thou God of wanderers and pilgrims of this land,
Let that which we ask of Thee and all we say be sacred before Thee.
Gratitude and praise everlasting shall lisp to Thy adoration,
Grant us the grace to say we are indeed your sons and daughters.
Bestow on us Your Wisdom to know which way to thread and beckon us this My way everlasting,
Help us to forgive, understand, accept every challenge with calm to trust in Your purpose for our lives.
Free our hearts from its self-centeredness, frailties, and mistrust,
Give us the courage to face our fears, foes, and obstacles that may impede our success,
Make us aware of the companionship and love we receive each day from those around us and those we meet.
Remind us that the smallest ray of sun in a shower of rain can create a rainbow.
Grant us Your serenity to rest in and help us believe in Your PEACE.
