DEAD WITHIN

In the depths of the mind’s despair,
A dark storm brews, a burden to bear.
When frustrations rise like waves so high,
A call echoes out, a sinister sigh.

For in this realm, where thoughts reside,
A troubling truth begins to confide.
When the mind wearies, lost in dismay,
The body may falter, and life may sway.

But also, dear heart, let it be known,
That love can suffer, deep seeds are sown.
When possessiveness grips tight, holds fast,
A silent sadness, love’s breath, won’t last.

Just as the mind may seek its own end,
Love, too, can reach a fateful bend.
When frustrations burn, passions deferred,
Love’s gentle soul, betrayed and deterred.

Ah, the price we pay, when emotions collide,
When inner turmoil cannot be denied.
Yet within this chaos, a glimmer still shines,
A chance for understanding, to redefine.

Let us strive to embrace empathy’s art,
To heal the wounds that can tear us apart.
For no mind should crumble, left to decay,
And love should never be led astray.

So in these deepest depths, find solace, my friend,
Let growth and compassion bring peace to an end.
For though you feel dead, a ghost deep within,
Remember, rebirth awaits to begin.
