A GAME OF HEARTS

A GAME OF HEARTS

We’re playing games, but I feel pain,
A facade of love, but it’s all in vain.
You use me to feed your ego’s fire,
Leaving me broken, my heart a tired liar.

I lost my best friend, a piece of me died,
Over your games, where love’s just a disguise.
You can have anyone, but I’m the one you play,
A pawn in your world, where feelings fade away.

My heart’s breaking, the game is done,
I want one last moment, before we’re undone.
Can I hug you, feel your warmth one last time?
A fleeting touch, before the goodbye’s chime.

In this final moment, I’ll find some peace,
A goodbye hug, a heart’s release.
But know that I’ll heal, I’ll find my way,
And your games will fade, like yesterday.
